“Carnival Lights, Rocking Nights” is the theme of the 38th annual Bell Tower Festival, June 8-10 in Jefferson.
The theme marks the return of a carnival as part of the entertainment around the square. It honors the Bushman, who are being inducted into the Iowa Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and it emphasizes the musical entertainment that will be featured on Saturday night during the festival.
Emily Neese will be festival chair. She is the marketing database specialist at Wild Rose Casino & Resort in Jefferson.
“I grew up all my life with the Bell Tower Festival and going to college for event planning, this festival connects all of that together,” she said. “I’m excited to be able to come back and be a part of something that has impacted my youth.”
The logo features the festival’s 2018 theme in the shape of a guitar with the neck of the instrument in the shape of the Mahanay Memorial Carillon Tower. It was designed by Krystal Schulte, graphic designer at Wild Rose.
